workshop OVERVIEW
If you want to make pro music of ALL GENRES, you can’t have out-of-tune vocals & instruments. Learn how to tighten everything up by using Melodyne in our iTuneIT: Melodyne Workshop!
Melodyne is a very powerful application that lets users manipulate the pitch, vibrato, timing, envelopes, and formats of audio in an intuitive interface that is similar to working with MIDI.
Our 5-hour, hands-on workshop will teach anyone with basic music theory knowledge how to confidently use Melodyne (this seemingly “magic plugin”) to manipulate & fix pitch and time of vocals & instruments within a song!
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Melodyne Basics – Get comfortable with the software and its tools.
Hands-on Editing – Learn by doing with real-world examples.
Professional Vocal Tuning – Transform amateur vocals into pro-quality performances.
Creative Effects – Recreate Daft Punk, T-Pain, and other signature vocal sounds.
Advanced Techniques – Apply Melodyne tools to fix, enhance, and manipulate audio.
EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTOR
With decades of experience within Melodyne tuning countless vocals & instruments in the world of Pop, Indie, EDM, Hip Hop, Metal, Opera, R&B, Jazz, Acoustic, and much more, instructor, Steven Clark, will teach you pitch correction and beyond in this powerful program.
THE PURPOSE OF MELODYNE
As an audio engineer, this tool can save you and your artist a lot of time in the studio! Instead of having to record a lead vocal 10+ times to get the perfect take you can simply do 2-3 reasonable takes and fix small pitch and timing issues within Melodyne.
THE LEARNING CURVE
Melodyne can feel overwhelming at first, but that’s exactly why this course exists. We offer this workshop as a 1-on-1 to ensure a full conceptualization in low stress environment where the student can receive as much step-by-step assistance as possible.
5 hour workshop layout
Over the course of 5 hours, the time is split up between 2 hours teaching, 3 hours of practical. First, the students learn overall layout of the program, understand how to tune based off of the key of the song, and interact with the software with examples. Next, the student spends the time applying these techniques to get radio ready vocals for their tracks.
